7 more fabulous new acts competing to be judged the best act of the night and skip away with £50. Show 4 was another pearler with the Sir Dickie Benson, the inspired and mildly fruity thespian luvvie character act emerging as the victor.
Plus Guest Compere – Elliot J Huntley
“It was most impressive how effortlessly he commanded the crowd courtesy of some cracking gags, superb comic songs and old school onstage poise” – Comedy Review
With a fabulous array of highly inventive tall-tales and gently twisted punchlines regarding relationships, fatherhood and hanging around low quality nightclubs in the grim hope of an extra curricular dalliance, Elliot’s comedic terrain is constantly entertaining albeit occasionally near to the figurative knuckle. However with his self-confessed oily superficial goodwill he manages to charm even the most stoic of audiences with his playful patter and slew of hilariously ribald songs performed on mandolin and laced with instantly quotable couplets.
