Alfie Moore

Previewing his new show ‘The Naked Stun’. As seen on ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’ and Channel 5′s ‘The Wright Stuff’. Voted 3rd best joke of the entire 2013 Edinburgh Festival and star of his own BBC Radio 4 series ‘It’s a Fair Cop’, currently on air. Alfie tasers his way through a brand new hour of hilarious and fascinating anecdotes drawn from his eighteen years on the beat. Described by Rhod Gilbert as ‘fascinating and funny’ Alfie is an original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant. He came slightly later to comedy and brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his day job, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival. He has also supported Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national comedy tours and toured his own Edinburgh festival show ‘I Predicted A Riot’ around UK theatres to great critical acclaim. Alfie has a relaxed observational comedic style, which lends itself to witty, and sometimes gritty, anecdotes based on everyday modern policing with belly laughs abundant.

‘Brilliantly funny, genuinely hilarious’ – David Mitchell
‘Gloriously, life-enhancingly funny’ – The Scotsman
‘Strikingly original’ – Arts Desk

Andrew McBurney
‘His magnificently wretched stage persona gave his material an emotionally bedraggled edge. The concept of comedy as therapy is nothing new, but he appears on the verge of tears, desperately trying to hold it together, as he revealed he has just been dumped. That raw heartache defined what should have been material, giving every funny line a pathos-laden twist. We’ll see more of him’ – Chortle

‘So You Think You’re Funny’ Finalist 2013
‘Laughing Horse Best New Act’ Finalist 2013
West Midlands Comedy Forum Awards Best Comedian 2013
Winner – Foster’s Levity Festival Best Act 2013
Best Newcomer 2012 and Best Joke 2012 – WMCF Awards

Danny Clives
‘A great new comic, imagine Simon Amstell with post traumatic stress disorder’ – Huzzah Comedy

Dave Pollard
Finely honed gags with a constant hint of mischief.
Punchline-packed patter on family, food and ex-pat living from an XXX-sized wit.

Compere – Karen Bayley
‘She has me in stitches’ - Alan Carr
‘A very good act’ - Jasper Carrott

Winner of the Komedia New Act prize, the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award as well as reaching the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women Karen Bayley is clearly something special. Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with. Warm and welcoming but also slightly scary with a spiky edge, her bold, no nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike, while her self-penned material surprises and delights with its variety, combining inspired and sparkling punchlines, with a sense of comic timing that is little short of brilliant. On television, as well as enjoying the accompanying coverage for those two BBC Best Comedy awards, she has appeared on two aptly titled shows for our Karen – The Last Word on ITV1 and Sex on the Job for Sky 1 and been a talking head on those ubiquitous Channel 4 countdown shows including 100 Greatest Cartoons where she got paid to watch cartoons for the day.
