MISSED IT!!! The fabulous Andy White and brilliant Jonny Pelham at Cast Comedy Club, Doncaster on Saturday 4th October

Andy White

Andy White

Andy White
‘Had me exercising my pelvic floor muscles to avoid an accident’ – bbc.co.uk

An energetic, confident, quirky and globe-trotting Brummie who combines silly voices and a mad afro to devastating comic effect. Andy has numerous media appearences, including the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC Choice, Brand Spanking New on BBC Radio 7 and his winning performance on the Weakest Link comedian’s special! His appearance on the BBC quiz show featured in his five star (* * * * * Three Weeks) Edinburgh show, ‘It Started With A Quiz’. This followed on from his well-received one man show at the Leicester Comedy Festival: Young, Gifted and Beige.
Andy escaped from a call centre to become a stand up comic who proffers anecdotal humour, topical gags and enlightening and rib-tickling observations regarding his mixed race background. He can do material that’s clever, cheeky, sick or just plain daft and his performance can shift from deadpan to loud and physical, often in the same routine. Andy has played to a wide variety of audiences, adults and children, both at home and abroad, in comedy clubs, theatres, universities, radio and TV shows, and at corporate entertainment events. He regularly headlines up and down the UK and has worked with all the major chains and comedy promoters along the way. Overseas, he’s performed in Monte Carlo, Berlin, Abu Dhabi, Brussels, Zurich and Dubai.

Jonny Pelham
‘Echoes of a young Daniel Kitson’ – Evening Standard
‘Jonny Pelham set the bar high with a perfectly structured and sublimely self-deprecating set’ – chortle.co.uk

Jonny began his stand up career at University and whilst there finished runner-up in both the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny?competition as well as The Chortle Student Comedy Awards. Since leaving he has continued to impress and was recently a finalist and Judges’ Choice in the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards, as well as being nominated for Chortle Best Newcomer in 2014.

Theresa Farlow
‘Theresa delivers proper jokes with excellent comic timing. Definitely one to watch’ – Laughing Cows
‘Some quality and well thought out observations, a clear confidence when performing to the masses along with a delightful personality’ – World of Comedy

Theresa ‘Trees’ Farlow is making her mark on the comedy circuit with her clever, finely honed gags, friendly, confident stage persona and natural audience interaction. She presents a unique and self-deprecating take on life, shaped by years of experience in academia, with a gastric band, laser eye surgery, life with an older man, rampant cats and personal struggles with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.

Ian Seaburn
‘Thoughtful and meticulous, Ian Seaburn’s tales of mathematics and music provides a refreshing voice on the comedy circuit’ – AltComCab
‘Cool, chilled and laid back, put him in front of 4000 people and he wouldn’t break a sweat. The audience thoroughly enjoyed his act’ – World of Comedy

Ian is a frustrated rock star with an unhealthy mathematics habit. Affable and articulate with sharp lines and finely crafted tales he delivers survival tips for life, short sharp puzzling as to the nature of the universe and the occasion surreal flight of fancy.

Compere – Anthony J. Brown
‘Dark quips and relentlessly witty audience-goading ad-libbing from a compelling host’ – City Life

Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid. And not the merest hint of profanity. The overall effect is both perversely hypnotic and wholly original, leaving the audience zealously hanging on to every syllable like turncoat lemmings on a rockface. Jongleurs/Metro ‘Stand & Deliver’ Award winner and BBC New Comedy Award Runner-up he is a regular contributor to Radio 2′s ‘The Arthur Smith Lectures’.
