Shazia Mirza

Shazia Mirza

‘Calm, confident, challenging and always with original material’ – The Evening Standard

‘In that global menagerie of comedy Mirza is that rarest of rare creatures. She guarantees an audience with her biting deadpan observations’ – The New York Times

Shazia is an award winning British Asian stand up Comedian and columnist from Birmingham sticking the figurative knife into political correctness with devastatingly funny effect. She performs all over the world and has toured the US , Sweden , Denmark , France Holland and Germany . Her vast array of TV credits include CBS ‘60 Minutes’, NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’, Paramount’s ‘The World Stands Up’ and BBC’s ‘Have I Got News For You’. She has also graced the stage in several plays including ‘The Vagina Monologues’ at the Royal Albert Hall.

Seymour Mace

‘Brilliantly weird’ – chortle.co.uk
‘Relentless originality…manic and gripping’ – The Guardian

Like a truly bizarre hybrid of Harry Hill, Half Man Half Biscuit and Viz comic Seymour is a teller of extremely tall tales and High Priest of the terrifically twisted one-liner. He is a former City Life Comedian of the Year and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards. He was also victorious in the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge.
You may mock such a curiously named title but the prize money was 10 grand. Strewth. He has featured on ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’, ‘The Weird World Of Russell Brand’, ‘The Stand-Up Show’ and ‘Clive Anderson’s Chat Room’. He was also a regular in BBC2′s Johnny Vegas sitcom ‘Ideal’ playing the ill-fated twins ‘Craig’ and ‘Steve’. As a result he is now unable to walk down the street without being recognised by the nation’s stoners.
His recent Edinburgh Festival show ‘Squeg’ garnered rave reviews including 4 stars from the hugely influential comedy website Chortle.

Compere – Anthony J Brown
‘Hilarious ad-libs and wicked one-liners from an infectiously funny performer’ – The List

Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid. Jongleurs/Metro “Stand & Deliver” Award winner and former BBC New Comedy Award Runner-up he is a regular contributor to Radio 2′s “The Arthur Smith Lectures”. As seen on ‘The Stand Up Show’, ‘Phoenix Nights’ and ‘Attitude’.

My website addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other. If you happen to be interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Superb blog by the way!
