Chris is unquestionably the fastest rising new act on the UK comedy circuit having been nominated for Fosters Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) for Best Show at the Edinburgh Festival 2011. He has supported Al Murray on his UK theatre tour as well as having undertaken his own debut solo touring show around Britain in 2012, which has been a sold out critical success.
He has a positive slew of television credits including ’8 Out Of 10 Cats’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’, ‘Argumental’, ‘Comedy Rocks’, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’ and ‘Show And Tell’ as well as playing the lead role in the forthcoming BBC sitcom ‘Hebburn’ with Vic Reeves. He is also developing his own show for BBC3 entitled ‘@ChrisRamsey’.
At Comedy Cellar he will be previewing material from his forthcoming Edinburgh 2012 show ‘Feeling Lucky’.

Chris’ calm, laid back demeanour combined with a hilarious and erudite turn of phrase has seen his act flourish in numerous venues across the country since competing in Chortle Student Comedian of The year Competition in 2007. Equipped with superb material, and the style to match, his is an act both extremely funny and original.

Winner of the First Laugh Comedian of the Year award in 2008, Big Value Comedy Show 2010 and Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2009, Chris has been making something of a name for himself as one of the best new acts in the country with his intelligent and hilarious brand of comedy, making rooms full of people cackle with delight. He has supported Milton Jones and Pete Firman on UK theatre tours and will be previewing material from his forthcoming Edinburgh 2012 show ‘An Opera Written On Napkins’.
