MISSED IT!!! Award-winning, wonderfully weird Seymour Mace and award-winning, less weird but still wonderful Steve Bugeja at Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 13th December

Seymour Mace

Seymour Mace

Seymour Mace
‘Relentless originality…manic and gripping’ – The Guardian

Seymour has featured on ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’, ‘The Weird World Of Russell Brand’, ‘The Stand-Up Show’ and ‘Clive Anderson’s Chat Room’. He was also a regular in BBC2′s Johnny Vegas sitcom ‘Ideal’. Like a truly bizarre hybrid of Harry Hill, Half Man Half Biscuit and Viz comic, Seymour is a teller of extremely tall tales and the High Priest of the terrifically twisted one-liner. He is a former City Life Comedian of the Year and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards. He was also victorious in the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge. You may mock such a curiously named title but the prize money was 10 grand. Strewth.
Steve Bugeja
‘Bugeja has an eye for original comic detail that’s all his own, he not only mines big laughs from this, but also an unexpected amount of gentle pathos’ – The Guardian
‘His social nightmares make for assured comedy. Greater things surely await’ – Chortle
BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner 2013 fresh from supporting Russell Kane on his 2013/14 UK theatre tour with his inherently endearing and uniquely imaginative wit delivered with sparky, charismatic aplomb. He also writes for ‘Mock The Week’, ’8 Out Of 10 Cats’ and ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’.
Tom Little
‘Slightly surreal, very amusing’ – Comedy Review
Witty wordsmith Tom recently won his heat in the BBC New Comedy Award 2014 and will be doing the semi-final in November. He’s also through to the final for Hot Water Comedy’s Comedian of the Year Competition and made it to the semi-finals for So You Think You’re Funny 2014 with his skewed, rib-tickling anecdotes.

Russ Cutts
‘Cutts is a natural and charismatic storyteller full of gusto and hilarious anecdotes’- Square Hole Comedy

Sheffield fella Russ is a conversational and charismatic purveyor of tales from his madcap family life as a devoted husband and father of three adorable devil children. A natural stage presence, he hilariously recounts his daily struggles with familial bliss for your amusement with a neat line in self deprecation.

Compere – Anthony J Brown
‘Hilarious ad-libs and wicked one-liners from an infectiously funny performer’ – The List

Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid. And not the merest hint of profanity. The overall effect is both perversely hypnotic and wholly original, leaving the audience zealously hanging on to every syllable like turncoat lemmings on a rockface. Jongleurs/Metro ‘Stand & Deliver’ Award winner and BBC New Comedy Award Runner-up he is a regular contributor to Radio 2′s ‘The Arthur Smith Lectures’.
