Seymour Mace

‘Relentless originality…manic and gripping’ – The Guardian

Seymour has featured on ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’, ‘The Weird World Of Russell Brand’, ‘The Stand-Up Show’ and ‘Clive Anderson’s Chat Room’. He was also a regular in BBC2′s Johnny Vegas sitcom ‘Ideal’. Like a truly bizarre hybrid of Harry Hill, Half Man Half Biscuit and Viz comic, Seymour is a teller of extremely tall tales and the High Priest of the terrifically twisted one-liner. He is a former City Life Comedian of the Year and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards. He was also victorious in the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge, netting him 10 thousand pounds and his latest Edinburgh Festival show ‘Squeg’ was critically acclaimed.

Penella Mellor
‘A dark-edged set full of distain for her daughter. Yet it never seems nasty, more a wry confessional about her own lack of maternal instinct. Such unflinching approach to the ‘bad mum’ persona is admirable, and she delivers with an appealing coolness … top comic in waiting’ – Chortle

Penella is not a good grown up. She struggles daily with all aspects of adulthood: parenting, dating and being nice to other people. Her likes include cake and funerals. Since arriving on the comedy scene she has quickly become a favourite on the circuit and is currently “Nando’s Comedian of the Year”. She is also the reigning champion of the coveted “Beat the Frog World Series Competition”. Alongside stand up, you can hear Penella on Tameside Radio 103.6fm with her comedy show ‘Tuesday’s Tickles’.
